My final project in college was to make a large creative design in some form. I decided to illustrate and design a book that my friend was writing. It is a novel about a girl who was abused in her past and is trying to learn to live with it in her present.

I created the book layout in Indesign and created an image for each chapter. I first painted the images with watercolor. I then scanned the imaged and turned them into vectors. I also created a mobile Ebook version of the book as well.

The original idea of this project was that everyone do a graphic identity for a company. My teacher allowed me to do a book because she said it was different than what everyone else was doing as long as I did all the same things as everyone else even if my client did not need it. Some of the requirements were to create a website, some sort of merchandise with a logo and a poster that showed all the work we had done. I created a very simple website where people could learn more about the book and also a link to buy the book. I tried creating merchandise that would be relevant to someone who might read the book.
